If you run MAC OS X El Capitan and install R2014a or earlier. 
You may need to install X windows, see Installing. Follow the default option and fill in your Mathworks account details if asked.Īfter installation, the installer will exit and you will be able to find the MatLab software in your Applications folder (under the name of Matlab_R2013b.app).
